Can anyone explain the weird habits going on with my dog?

Ok, so I have a miniature shnauzer that's about 10 or 11 years old so she's middle aged. She can be pretty hyper yet when she wants to be and gets a lot of rest. Anyway, for about a year now, she does this thing that's really irritating. Its like this high-strung burst of movement out of nowhere. Like she'll be sitting down and just burst away quickly. Here, I really don't know how to describe it so I found a word in the dictionary that describes it. http://www.bartleby.com/61/46/J0004600.html Ok what that said. lol, I don't know if I was doing a good job describing that but she's not blind or seems to have anything wrong with her and there is never anything going on when she does it. It's just random and kind of annoying because I am like "Oh My God! What HAPPENED?! WHAT HAPPENED?!" And it's never anything. Also her breath reeks. My dad says it's normal and all dogs have bad breath. It's not like we brush her teeth or anything.
