Mitsubishi galant my cv joints/ axel or my tire rod broke? help?

last night when i was leaving my father in laws house i was trying to attempt a 3point turn.... failed! when i cut my wheel all the way to the left u heard a big bang and could no longer move my car unless i was going the way the wheel was facing. i have heard this noise in my car before when i take sharp turns or when i do 3 point turns stuff like that but nothing that loud and never it broken before. i have a 96 mitsubishi galant. front wheel dr. automatic. (if that helps) i immediatly thought it was the front left tire rod but then i thought it could also be cv joints / axel... how much would BOTH cost if i took it to a garage?? please help im only 20 with a 1 yr old baby i wanna go in there and pretend i know what im talking about so they dont take advantage of me. thankyou
