Why isn't v-tec running after 94 accord transmission swap?

I have a 94 Accord EX, which HAD an auto transmission. After countless hours of toiling I finally finished it. Runs very smooth, no huge hiccups, and everything seems to be kosher. With the one exception that my v-tec no longer hits. At all. I have the correct ECU, everything was wired in correctly. I didn't have to rewire the distributor since I'm already at OBDI, I understand that it isn't going to hit very hard at all, but when it was auto i could HEAR it hit v-tec, whereas now I cannot. Any ideas?
