Keeping a room free from smoke smell?

I'm moving in with my mom for a month or so because my dad had a stroke. I'm going to be staying in a room in the basement with no windows/vent in it. She is a heavy smoker. After my last stay, I realized everything I had smelled of smoke, even the clean clothes in the closet. Is there a filter or something I can put in my room? I can't go around reeking.
