A question about shy guys who eye u up and get nervous?

There is a guy I like, he makes eyes at me all the time his face lights up when he sees me. He stutters and gets nervous. We were waiting outside cl and he got so flustered when he saw me he fled and even forgot his bag! Why would a guy do this, did I get him worked up and made him so nervous that he had to flee lol!
