Science majors/ppl in premed/ med students........ do you ever wish?

I am a medical student now. I would recomend the AP course for the sole purpose of preparing you for college. Grades matter unfortunately when it comes to applying, but knowledge doesn't. Sad but true. Also remember that no one knows or cares if Mr. Smith is harder than Mr. Jones so my B in Mr. Smiths cl really = an A in Mr. Jones' cl. Honestly take a cl for the grade. So having said that do whatever you can now to make your life easier later. So maybe taking the harder cl now will better prepare you for the later courses. I'm glad I majored in Neuroscience becuase life is easier now while we are studying Neuro. However science majors are always teaching old and outdated material. I would only do cles that you have to. Satisfy your pre-req's and do a lot of Service. Shadow a lot and volunteer in a medical setting as much as you can. interview physicians, anything to show schools that you have done your homework. I can ramble on and on. Final word do what you love becuase Medical school is BRUTAL. Everyday I question my love for medicine. Right now I wish I just worked a job but I'm sure study. oops to answer your first question, it might not be a good idea to skip an intro course unless you know you will do fine in the second year one. Grades are Key!!!! MCAT is #1 grades are #2 and then comes YOU. Until you get an interview and then YOU = #1.
